"Your humble delivery of the Good News and your wonderful arrangements of the songs really touched my heart last night."
RESCUE news Dec 2016: For those of you who have not heard yet, after 20 years of ministry, it is time for a new chapter for RESCUE. After much thought and prayer over a long period of time, we feel the group is in a different season of life. At the end of this year, we will no longer be booking and singing concerts on a regular basis. While we are shutting down bookings indefinitely, it does not necessarily mean that we will never sing again. We have some ideas for the future, Lord willing. For example, we would like to finish the full-Christmas album over the next couple of years and possibly do some events around the release. We would also love to bring back all of the guys who have been a part of this ministry over the years and do a RESCUE Reunion #2 concert. Additionally, we have some standing invitations to some very exciting possibilities in the upcoming years, but we are not making any commitments at this time. We may not know for sure what the future holds for this ministry, but we do know that the Lord has a plan and we will be actively seeking His will as we move forward.
What we do know is that RESCUE’s ministry will still exist online. The albums and arrangements will still be available on the website and iTunes. We will continue to look for ways to get RESCUE’s music to the ears of people who need to hear the saving message of Christ.
We are excited to have just finished a new 5-song Christmas EP. The “He is Born” album will be available at our remaining Christmas concerts and online shortly. There are 2 concerts remaining on our schedule: Dec 11th at Southlake Foursquare in West Linn, and Dec 18th at Athey Creek Church in West Linn.
In order for the ministry to continue, we will need ongoing support. We will need your help to afford our general operating expenses and the funds it will take to complete the Christmas album, Reunion concert/album/DVD, and any other events or projects that come up that we feel led to pursue. Your prayerful consideration and giving will carry us forward to whatever The Lord calls us to.
As we reflect, we are so thankful to the Lord for allowing us to do what we love for so long through the gift of music. I personally want to thank all the guys and their families who I have had the honor of singing with over these years. We want to thank our supporters and fans for an incredible 20 years of ministry. Your prayers, support and encouragement have kept us going. I want to thank all of you for joining me in making this ministry a reality. It means more than words can express.
